Sad News for North Face
The New York Times reports that native Ohioan, Douglas Tompkins, who was the founder of North Face and Esprit, died on Tuesday December 8th after a kayaking accident in the Patagonia region of southern Chile. Mr. Tompkins had a passion for nature and conservationism. In fact, the slogan for his North Face brand is “Never Stop Exploring,” and Mr. Tompkins did just that.
